Delivery Service in Style

Food Delivery service is not new to Maldives, as a matter of fact its been here for a long time.

Delivering meals straight to the client’s doorstep is one great service that undoubtly increases the sales of any business.  But simple as it may sound, delivery services requires a lot of attention. You don’t just deliver the item, you have to make sure that the item arrives on time, in good condition - delivering the product as if you want it.

That is why we established this service called Badhige.com in 2009 ( Badhige means Kitchen in Dhivehi , our native language ).

Everyone will ask by now - Is this another ordinary Delivery Service?
My quick answer is NO.

Badhige.com in itself is a service designed to help service businesses with delivery requirements.  What makes this service unique is it is a service in its own and it also provides service to other establishments.  In other words, the success of Badhige.com will depend on the success of its partner establishments.  A unique setup if you ask me.

How does it work?  Badhige.com is a delivery service company that provides delivery service to any business that needs it.  For example, if you have a restaurant and you want to offer delivery service for take-out orders, you don’t need to setup your own - all you need to do is to become a vendor of Badhige Delivery service.  All it takes is a simple registration and you’re all set to offer your delivery service courtesy of eCommerce Maldives.  Outsourcing your delivery service has never been this easy.

Advantages:
Ease of Use
- NO more messy folders full of delivery Ads and flyers. Badhige.com organizes all your delivery menus in a single Website.
- ONLY one Domain and Hotline to remember for all the restaurants in our network!
- Exact delivery time is provided to you for your convenience.

Convenience
- Even after most delivery services stop offering delivery, Badhige.com still delivers. 9AM to 12MN  seven days a week!
- A HUGE list of Drinks , Fast-food, and Meals are also offered for delivery.

Affordability
- All check-out pricing is the same as you would spend at the restaurant. The menu price is the menu price and the delivery charge takes the place of your service charge.

So far, Badhige.com has the following partners - DineMore, Food Garden, Dine More Garden, Jalapeno, Marblizza, Harpo's Pizza, Blend, Wood Apple Pizza,  The Sea House and more..

Badhige.com not only provides delivery service, but it also offers backend services like call center to take orders and client feedback.

To add more value to its offering, Badhige.com also offer its own ordering service to all its partners so that it would be a one stop shop order-taking delivery service registered customers .  Customers only need to call 330-6939  and the items that you order will be right at your doorstep in no time. Main objective is to convince customers to view the menu and oder via online vising the website.

Considering the many clients of Badhige.com, how can they assure quality service and on time delivery?  Simple - proper coordination and proper allocation of delivery agents.

The formula of success for Badhige.com is simple - Satisfied customers means happpy business partners which will result to good business for Delivery Service.
This is one business where quality and commitment cannot be taken lightly.

Grocery Sales Online to DOUBLE by 2014

http://www.maamall.com/index.html

The online food and grocery market could be worth £7.2bn by 2014, nearly double the figure for 2009, according to new research by the IGD grocery industry think tank published today.

In 2009, 13% of adults have shopped online for groceries - an increase of 63% on 2006

Three out of five (61%) online grocery shoppers use more than one online store for their food shopping. Half (49%) would like to try other supermarket websites, but many are put off by the perceived effort involved.

Online Shopping 2009, just published by IGD, also found that:

• 30% of online grocery shoppers purchase less often than once a month

• 24% intend to try an alternative online supermarket in next three months, and 25% would like to, but are put off by the effort involved

• 34% expect to shop in a variety of outlets, including online, in the next five to 10 years (compared to 27% in 2007)

• A further 34% expect to only shop in a supermarket for everything, and 7% expect to shop just online for food and groceries

Joanne Denney-Finch, chief executive, IGD, said: "Our research shows there is a great opportunity for grocery retailers and manufacturers to encourage shoppers to try online food shopping.

"People are increasingly mixing the channels they use for their weekly or monthly shop. Many are choosing to visit their local store on a regular basis, while purchasing a number of bulk items, like tinned foods and toiletries, online less frequently.

"The future of grocery shopping is ‘multi-channel', with people shopping in different ways and using various outlets - whether convenience stores, online or hypermarkets."

According to the Office for National Statistics, 64% of people have shopped online at some point, but only 13% have bought food or groceries in the last year.

More than six in ten (61%) current and potential online shoppers also said that removing delivery charges would be a key trigger for increasing online grocery shopping.

eCommerce on Drupal for Higher Revenue

The potential for access to customers and high profitability are what drives ecommerce on the web. But with ecommerce comes a special set of needs and responsibilities. These can be managed quite effectively by utilizing the right Drupal ecommerce tools as you develop your Drupal design. In most cases, getting Drupal ecommerce right leans seeking the help of experts—Drupal experts.

Better Drupal Design With The Experts

One of the things that has a large bearing on the success of any ecommerce site—whether based in Drupal design or not—is the clarity and functionality of the website. In this aspect the success of any given ecommerce website relies heavily on the design of the website itself. A profitable business website needs to be

• Attractive and inviting, visually speaking

• Unique and cutting edge, offering the visitor something much better than average

• Utterly clear and simple in use, while still fulfilling the visitor’s needs for attractiveness, information, and functionality

• Friendly to search engines so that it also can be ranked and found

• Secure

Successful ecommerce sites give all the elements the visitor needs them to in order to convert hits to sales. But achieving all of these things and finding a way to package them nicely—and still maintain that high level of function that visitors need to complete the sale is an awful tall order. It takes a very talented and knowledgeable Drupal developer to cohesively design a profitable Drupal ecommerce site.

Your Drupal Designer—Your Key To Profitable Drupal Ecommerce

The core Drupal installation is not designed to fulfill the needs of Drupal ecommerce sites. For that, added functionality must be used. This means selecting and applying the right Drupal modules and customizing them to suit your site’s needs.

If you look at the available modules that can be used with the core Drupal application, you’ll see that there are more than 3300 modules available for use and website development. How, then, can you know what to choose and which applications are best suited for your particular flavor of ecommerce?

The only real way to be sure is to work with an expert Drupal designer who is familiar with the system, and capable of customizing the system by modifying the source application and its modules. And of course, it is imperative that that professional be able to do so without compromising the safety and security of your crucial information, or that of the visitors who are relying on you to protect them.

Drupal ecommerce adds a whole new dimension to Drupal design. As important as the safety, security, functionality and performance of Drupal ecommerce sites are, it is imperative to make sure that you work with Drupal experts who can deliver the product that will be all that you need it to be and more. Choosing Drupal designers carefully takes on a whole new level of importance when you enter into the realm of Drupal ecommerce. Do be sure that the designers and experts you choose have the knowledge, experience, and credentials behind them to deliver.

The New World Order Systems ( Computers )

Personal computers are now commonplace in most homes throughout the world, and are relied on heavily by both individuals and businesses. The invention of the computer is relatively new, emerging into our lives relatively late in the 20th century. The technology to build such intricate and sophisticated systems was simply not available prior to this, though advancements in microelectronics made the vision of a computer a realistic one. The two innovations in electronics which allowed for this were the integrated circuit, which was manufactured in 1959, and the microprocessor, which appeared in 1971. The integrated circuit allowed the internal memory solutions to be shrunken down into manageable components, whereasthe microprocessor reduced the size of a central processing unit down to a single chip.

The microprocessor revolutionised electronics as we know it, a small silicon chip which can process thousands of simultaneous calculations, and replace the need for thousands of independent transistors. Developed by Ted Hoff, in California, part of the Intel Corporation, the microprocessor opened up new opportunities for machines, as the processor itself was capable of handling large flows of data, performing logical calculations and almost behaving with intelligence.

The first desktop computer system was manufactured for person use in 1974, courtesy of Micro Instrumentation Telemetry Systems (MITS). The computer was termed Altair, and retailed for as little as $400. The popularity of the Altair soared to unimaginable heights, everyone appearing keen to sample this new machine. This sparked a whole host of computers being developed by other companies, or by young ambitious entrepreneurs. The first well known and reputable company to produce their own computer was Tandy Corporation, which launched its own model in 1977. This model proved a hit, and became the most popular of the computers on the market at that time for two main reasons. It included a keyboard, to improve input, and also included a cathode ray tube to provide a CTR monitor. It also allowed information to be stored on cassette tapes, and was also programmable.

A couple of engineers, Stephen Wozniack and Steven Jobs, then began their own business venture which would become known as Apple Computers. The pair manufactured the Apple I, which was a homemade microprocessor, from Jobs' parents' garage of all places. The Apple I was then marketed to the public and was later sold to electronics enthusiasts and hobbyists. This led to the creation of Apple Computer, Inc., and in April, 1977, the Apple II was launched, the world's first personal computer system. The system was designed exclusively by the Apple team and included a keyboard and most notably colour graphics. The Apple II retailed at $1290.

Apple introduced brand new features to its computer system, expandable memory, disk-drive systems, improved data storage, and the aforementioned colour graphics. Apple Computers became the fastest growing business in American business history, with rival companies being set up as a result of Apple's huge success.

1981 saw IBM introduce their model of microcomputer, generically named the IBM PC. The 16-bit microprocessor prompted cravings for faster and more powerful processors. In the middle of the 1980's, a few more improvements were introduced tothe computer world. 32-bit computers were revealed, which allowed for enough power to prove beneficial in a small to medium business environment.

User friendliness was targeted as key for most computer users, and the development or a Graphical User Interface certainly epitomised this. The GUI, replaced the requirement of entering complex commands, and brought in a much simpler 'point and click' strategy. Douglas Engelbart created an "X-Y Position Indicator for a Display System": which effectively became the "mouse", which has obviously has remained a standard with modern day PC's. Voice recognition software now exists to rival mouse input, and computer technology continues to grow at earth shattering speeds, which opens up exciting ideas for the not so distant future of computers.

The invention of the computer was clearly one of the most revolutionary inventions ever to grace the business world.
