If commitment comes from Position

I have just copy pasted Definitions of our company directors, Since we have only two directors, the responsibilities will vary, The commitment and responsibilities are also different.

We do need  Managing Director, But our MD needs to do more than what mentioned below, Thinking of Creating one-more position for our MD, since he is also responsible for some of the maintenance of our websites, I think its common that one person have two Senior posts in a Company.

I just wanna see how much commitment we will get by doing this, If commitment is about the Position or is it by his own Will.

I am Responsible for.

In the field of commerce, the specialist area of business development comprises a number of techniques and responsibilities which aim at attracting new customers and at penetrating existing markets. Techniques used include:

* assessment of marketing opportunities and target markets
* intelligence gathering on customers and competitors
* generating leads for possible sales
* advising on, drafting and enforcing sales policies and processes
* follow-up sales activity
* formal proposal or presentation management and writing
* pitch and presentation rehearsals
* business model design

Business development involves evaluating a business and then realizing its full potential, using such tools as:

* marketing
* information management (sometimes conflated with knowledge management)
* customer service

A Managing Director
A managing director or MD is a director of a company given special powers by its articles of association. In most companies, the managing director is the senior executive director, subordinate only to the chairman of the board.[1]
The MD is usually the most senior manager of the company, heading the organisation, and so may have a title such as Chief Executive Officer or CEO. This person may be responsible for the routine operation of the company or this role may be delegated to a separate Chief Operating Officer, leaving the CEO free to plan and direct the company's strategy.[2] In some Wall Street firms, such as Goldman Sachs, managing director is the second highest title after partner.[3]
The managing director is a leadership role for an organisation and the MD may fulfill a motivational role for the workforce, in addition to an operational role in the running of the business. MDs motivate and mentor members of the management team and chair meetings. The MD leads the company and develops the corporate culture for the organisation.
As the title suggests, the managing director has responsibility for the overall management of a company, including the staff, the customers, the budget, the company's assets and all other company resources to make the best use of them and increase the company's profitability.
The MD reports to the Board of Directors on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual or every decade basis to keep them informed of how the company is doing. The board will offer suggestions and ideas about how to improve the company to the Managing Director. It is the MD's responsibility to implement, improve upon or ignore these ideas.
